黄闪夜画作入选跨越文化与世纪的国际艺术展
美国华裔壮族艺术家黄闪夜（Shanye Huang）的油画“祝福”（Blessing）入选《关于人类：爱、信、辱、和盼》（On Being Human: Love, Faith, Shame, and Hope) 国际艺术评审展。主办该项展览的美国匹策艺术基金会（PICTURE Art Foundation）主席麦克·强森 （Mike Johnson） 表示，这个具有艺术与人文意义的展览得到了众多艺术家和收藏家的热情参与，并吸引了近千件来自全球的应征作品。选入的九十个艺术家包括来自五大洲的当代知名艺术家的各种媒材作品，以及安迪-沃荷（Warhol)、达利 (Dali)、洛克威尔(Rockwell)、蒂索(Tissot)、惠斯勒(Whistler)和伦勃朗(Rembrandt) 等大师的杰作。黄闪夜的“祝福”富含浓重的中国民间文化特质与个人独特语汇，是被选入仅有的一百三十件艺术作品之一。
围绕一个关于人类：爱、信、辱和盼的主题，展期长达五个月的该项展览展示了我们人类尽管文化截然不同，却享有相似的生活经历与意愿。入选参展的作品是以能紧扣主题、文化特征、作品的艺术与学术价值、以及艺术家的声誉和认证为准则。
麦克·强森说，举办此展览的旨意在于鼓励观众去审视跨越多个世纪、跨越多种文化的艺术主题，并希望人们对连结我们的共同纽带有一种更新的理解与感受。
黄闪夜原籍中国广西壮族，八十年代曾就读于广西艺术学院和中央美术学院，二十六岁成为中国美术家协会会员。一九九三年应邀到英国和美国举办个展。后以杰出人才身份移居美国。作品曾多次参加国际及全国美展，其画作曾被美国纽约专业乐团和芭蕾舞团编创为芭蕾舞剧, 并于二零零九年在纽约首场成功演出。

Shanye Huang with Warhol, Dali, Rockwell, and Rembrandt
In An International Exhibition Across Centuries
Blessing, a bold, vibrant oil painting by Shanye Huang, a Chinese-American artist has been selected for inclusion in the exhibition “On Being Human: Love, Faith, Shame, and Hope” at PICTURE Cultural Art on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills. From May 5th to October 2011.
Huang’s selection is especially significance, since this is one of only 130 works in all media by over 90 artists selected from nearly a thousand entries representing over 30 distinct cultures from 50 different countries across several centuries. The roster includes many renowned contemporary artists representing five continents as well as such stalwarts as Warhol, Dali, Rockwell, Tissot, Whistler and Rembrandt.
Conceived around four universal themes of love, faith, shame, and hope, the exhibition will show how all humans, irrespective of cultural differences, share a common life experience. Work was selected by the following criteria: representation of exhibition theme; cultural identification; quality of the artwork; and artist reputation and credentials.
Shanye Huang, born in Guangxi, China, was professionally trained in both Guangxi Institute of Art and Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, China. Huang's art deeply rooted in the Chinese folk arts, culture and yin-yang philosophy are abundant in detail and extravagant in color. His work Tapestry of Dreams has been made into a ballet and premiered in New York in 2009.
